the next day. Mohidul and Josim were produced before Rajshahi Court. Lieutenant Colonel Insad Ibne<br />
Amin investigated the case and he alleged them of smuggling prohibited drugs. A complaint was send<br />
to the IG of BSF (Border Security Force) on 9 th Sep. 2006 but no step was taken. The victims were<br />
once again produced before Rajshahi Court on 5 th Sep. 2006, and the Assistant Sessions Judge<br />
declared the victims innocent, and gave orders to send them back to their native land. Despite this fact<br />
Mohidul and Josim are still languishing in Rajshahi Central Jail without getting any proper food.<br />

Victim Momin Sarder, aged 35, is a resident of Sonakhali Bazar village. His 11 year old daughter<br />
Raosanara Sarder was found missing from 10 th November 2007. The victim and his wife Mina Sarder<br />
lodged a complaint at Basanti Police Station the same day. Azzad Molla informed the parents of<br />
Raosanara that she was seen at Haldia, and assured to rescue her. But Momin and Mina were cheated<br />
by him, who drove them away stealing their money and mobile. On 13 th January 2008 Momin went to<br />
Basanti Police Station for lodging a complaint but the officials behaved rudely and alleged him of intentionally<br />
selling his daughter. On 26 th January 2008 Raosanara’s parents again went to the police station and<br />
talked with the newly appointed OIC Rameshwar Ojha. But again they had to face ill treatment in the<br />
hands of the police. They were threatened to be filed under false charges. In the meantime, Parbati and<br />
Madhabi Shaw, who were responsible for abducting Raosanara, entered into the police station and<br />
forcibly pushed the victims outside the station. Momin and Mina returned home disappointed, with no<br />
cooperation from the police.<br />

was caught by few BSF Officials during midnight and subjected to brutal torture. He was beaten with<br />
