He is a resident of Pilkhana, falling within the jurisdiction of Golabari Police Station. Sabir has a five year old son named Md. Sarique Ansari. On 4 th May 2007 the child was playing outside the house having taken his lunch. Later on he went to fetch water and never returned. Sabir and his wife lodged a missing diary at Golabari Police Station the very night. Sabir also contacted the Don Bosco Child Line, CID, MLA, MP, District Magistrate of Howrah, DIG, IB, Home Minister, SP, and many Non-Governmental Organizations. He also spent a substantial amount in the local cable TV channel. Despite such efforts the search is still going on. The victims feel that the police are just giving light replies, and not serious about the case. Reyaz Perpetrator(s) : 1) IIC 2) Police Location : Golabari, Howrah Date of incident : 04/07/2007 Case Details: Victim Md. Shamim is a resident of Pilkhana. His was married to Ruksana Begam and both have a three year old son named Reyaz, who was a student of Holymon Memorial School. On 4 th July 2007 Reyas and his elder brother went to Karbala, where they were caught up in a commotion. Both were separated, after which Reyaz couldn’t be traced anywhere. Shamim registered a missing diary at Golabari Police Station the same day, and also approached the Criminal Investigation Department. He spent lots of money on advertisement and circulated posters with his son’s photograph hoping to get him back. No.-157 Victim(s) : Nani Gopal Maity Perpetrator(s) : 1) Anukul Chandra Bera 2) Chandan Mondal 3) Jaydeep Banerjee, OIC 4)Sakshi Gopal Ghosh, IO 5)Ranajit Babu, Police Location : Rudranagar, Sagar Date of incident : 25/02/2008 Case Details: Victim Nani Gopal Maity, aged 55, is the head master of Kamalpur Junior Basic School. He belongs to the Scheduled Caste Community. On 25 th February 2008 while the victim was handling classes for 4 th standard, two people namely Anukul Chandra Bera and Chandan Mondal entered the class room and started demanding money from Nani. All of a sudden they got furious, dragged the victim catching hold of his shirt, pushed him to the floor and started assaulting him. They stated that his son had borrowed Rs.30,000 from them and wanted it returned. They beat Nani repeatedly and took away the money he had. Due to this brutal act his forehead was bleeding. The students began to shout in fear, and the people of the locality rushed for help. Nani immediately went to Sagar Police Station to lodge a complaint, before which the perpetrators had filed a false complaint stating that the victim had assaulted them. The officials of Sagar Police Station refused to accept the complaint but after investigation, finding the truth a case was filed against the perpetrators. But the police were pressurizing Nani to compromise the case. On 27 th February 2008 a village meeting was called to discuss on the issue and the perpetrators confessed their guilt. After the meeting the victim was again facing threats. Finally a case was filed at ACJM Court of Kakdip on 17 th March 2008. Though the court ordered for investigation, the Sagar Police took no initiative. The victim has two brothers, and it was Narayan who looked after his deceased father’s business. After the victim’s marriage with Munmun his brothers picked up a quarrel with Narayan and tried to evict him from the house. The victim’s brothers jointly bought a house and didn’t give Narayan a share. The victim was working as a salesman and stayed in the rented house.
