All persons wanting to become or renew a UIPM International Judge must undertake<br />

examinations, theoretical and practical.<br />

UIPM TC will appoint Examiners to perform the examinations according the demands of the<br />

NF or CC. These examinations will normally take place in simultaneously or aggregated with<br />

UIPM international <strong>competition</strong>s. If so, UIPM will support expenses concerning travel and<br />

<strong>competition</strong> days per diem. NF or CC will support the food and lodging, local transportation<br />

and per diem for the extra days.<br />

NF or CC can also ask the support of the UIPM TC to perform courses/seminars to prepare<br />

these examinations. In this case, NF or CC must also pay the lecturer(s).<br />

Eligibility<br />

i) Agreement of the own National Federation.<br />

ii) Minimum age of 18 years.<br />

iii) Provide detailed Curriculum Vitae to the UIPM Technical Committee.<br />

iv) To have been an active National Referee (individual event) or Judge (5 events) in their<br />

respective Federation in the last 18 months.<br />

v) Ability to understand and be understood in English language.<br />

The presentation of others different Sport Federation experiences as judge (specific<br />

International licence in each of the Pentathlon Events) will be taken in consideration.<br />

1C.4 THE JUDGES EXAMINATION<br />

Theoretical part<br />

Candidates must complete a timed written examination on the UIPM Rules in English. Pass<br />

Mark – 70%<br />

Practical part<br />

During <strong>competition</strong>, candidates must perform different tasks as set out at table on 1C.6. to<br />

become an International Judge. Oral questions will also be made by the examiners.<br />
