Teaching<br />
There is a weekly teaching programme for GP trainees and core psychiatric trainees. There is a monthly Grand<br />
round for all the trainees and consultants and there are regular MRCPsych exam training classes during which<br />
the senior trainee could develop his/her teaching and educational skills. There are also opportunities in<br />
providing teaching and training to the Multi-Disciplinary Team and to the local General Practitioners.<br />
ECT<br />
There is a well-established ECT team based at Bodmin Hospital which is led by an Old Age Psychiatrist<br />
colleague, this could provide opportunities for a senior trainee to develop his/her ECT experience further.<br />
CBT<br />
Dr Altaan is a fully qualified CBT therapist and accredited member of BABCP and has a once weekly CBT clinic.<br />
The trainee would have the opportunity to develop his/her experience in psychological therapies should<br />
he/she wish to do so.<br />
Leadership and Management<br />
There is a senior medical and consultants business meeting which takes place once a month as well as regular<br />
business meetings for the Old Age Psychiatrists which the senior trainee is welcome to attend.<br />
