2. During clinics it will be possible to follow patients through their “journey”<br />
and see echocardiograms, pacemaker checks etc.<br />
3. Free sessions should be spent on the wards clerking patients and helping<br />
medical and nursing staff, or with the chest pain nurse team seeing patients in<br />
EUA.<br />
4. Every day there <strong>are</strong> Board Rounds on EUA4 (11.00) and EAU3 (11.20) during<br />
which all acute patients <strong>are</strong> discussed.

Every day is different in public health and the programme<br />
would depend on what members of the team <strong>are</strong> doing on<br />
a day. Options include going to meetings with the Director<br />
of Public Health, public health commissioners, infection<br />
control or myself ( I cover screening programmes, immunisation<br />
and health protection). We could also supervise<br />
small pieces of work with our epidemiologist/ data analyst.<br />
There might also be an opportunity to spend time with<br />
the lifestyles team.<br />
The best approach is probably for us to tailor a programme<br />
specifically for anyone who would be interested.
