combination to avoid injury from tip-over.

14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus
has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has
been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to

Connect only to a power supply of the type marked on the unit adjacent to the power supply
cord.
16. If this product is to be mounted in an equipment rack, rear support should be provided.
17. Exposure to extremely high noise levels may cause a permanent hearing loss. Individuals
vary considerably in susceptibility to noise-induced hearing loss, but nearly everyone will
lose some hearing if exposed to sufficiently intense noise for a sufficient time. The U.S.
Government’s Occupational and Health Administration (OSHA) has specified the following
permissible noise level exposures:

According to OSHA, any exposure in excess of the above permissible limits could result in some hearing loss. Ear plugs
or protectors to the ear canals or over the ears must be worn when operating this amplification system in order to
prevent a permanent hearing loss, if exposure is in excess of the limits as set forth above. To ensure against potentially
dangerous exposure to high sound pressure levels, it is recommended that all persons exposed to equipment capable of
producing high sound pressure levels such as this amplification system be protected by hearing protectors while this
unit is in operation.

Description
These equalizers are ruggedly constructed audio components intended for fixed installation applications.
Engineered with the commercial sound systems contractor in mind, these two rack-space units provide
high-quality audio performance and user friendly controls. Both the GME 131 and the AEQ 215 incorporate
low-noise, low-distortion design, and feature three-screw Euro connectors for ease and versatility of
connection. Both units also offer bypass switches, switchable low-cut filters, and equalizer filters set at
ISO center frequencies within 3% accuracy. Center-detented 45 mm sliders, enclosed in metal for durability,

1. OUTPUT LEVEL LED ARRAY Indicates output level from -12 dB to +12 dB.
2. GAIN Regulates overall gain of the equalizer section.
3. EQUALIZER SECTION These controls adjust the amount of cut or boost at their
respective frequencies. The GME 131 is equipped with FLS ® LEDs at the top of each band.
These indicators will illuminate as an indication of feedback at that frequency.
4. LOW CUT Activates a filter that rejects frequencies below 40 Hz. Frequency roll off is
24 dB per octave when the filter is engaged, as indicated by the illumination of the
adjacent LED. This filter will operate even with the bypass switch engaged.
5. BYPASS Allows signal to bypass the unit with the exception of the low-cut filter. With
this switch engaged, signal is routed from input through the filter to output.
6. POWER Applies mains power to the unit when in the ON position. The adjacent LED
will illuminate when power is being applied.

7. A/C POWER RECEPTACLE For standard IEC power cable (included).
Never break off the ground pin on any equipment. It is provided for your safety.
If the outlet used does not have a ground pin, a suitable grounding adapter should be used and
the third wire should be grounded properly. To prevent the risk of shock or fire hazard, always be
sure that the equalizer and all associated equipment is properly grounded.
Note for UK only:
If the colors of the wires in the mains lead of this unit do not correspond with the colored markings
identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: (1) The wire that is colored green
and yellow must be connected to the terminal that is marked by the letter E, the earth symbol,
colored green, or colored green and yellow. (2) The wire that is colored blue must be connected
to the terminal that is marked with the letter N or the color black. (3) The wire that is colored
brown must be connected to the terminal that is marked with the letter L or the color red.

The new features, performance advantages, and functionality included in these equalizers make
them one of the best audio values available. From simple systems with basic audio requirements,
to full-blown integrated systems, these components are an excellent choice.
Installation
These equalizers are designed to be installed in a standard EIA equipment rack. Since the depth of
the unit is only 7-3/8", you can use practically any size rack. Using only two rack spaces, these
components have integral rack mounting ears and require no additional hardware for mounting
other than the rack screws.
All connections to the equalizer are made on the rear panel. It is recommended that you provide an
additional 4" of clearance between the chassis and the interior rear of your equipment rack for
wiring harnesses.
Although these products do not generate enough heat to warrant forced air or convection cooling,
it is recommended that you provide a single rack space vent above and below the unit when rack
mounting. In installations where there are multiple power amplifiers, it is further recommended that
the equalizer be located toward the top of the rack, while the power amps remain near the bottom.

1. LED DE NIVEL DE SALIDA Indica el nivel de salida de -12 dB a + 12 dB.

Las nuevas características, avances en ejecución y funcionalidad incluidas en estos ecualizadores los hacen
una de las mejores compras en el mercado de audio. De sistemas simples con requisitos de audio básicos a
grandes sistemas integrados, estos componentes son una excelente adquisición.
Instalación
Estos ecualizadores han sido diseñados para instalación en racks estándar tipo EIA. Dado que la
profundidad de la unidad es de solo 7-3/8", puedes usar prácticamente cualquier tamaño de rack. Usando
sólo dos espacios de rack, estos componentes cuentan con orejas integradas para su instalación y no
requieren ningún aditamento más que tornillos para asegurarlos.
Todas las conexiones del ecualizador son hechas de la parte trasera. Se recomienda que se provea por lo
menos 4" de espacio entre el chasis y el interior del rack de equipo para las conexiones.
A pesar que estos productos no generan suficiente calor para requerir aire adicional o ventiladores, es
recomendable que cuenten con un espacio de rack de ventilación arriba o debajo de la unidad. Para
instalaciones en las que se cuente con múltiples amplificadores de poder, es recomendable que el
ecualizador se encuentre en la parte superior del rack mientras que los amplificadores deben permanecer
en la parte inferior.

1. OUTPUT LEVEL LED ARRAY Zeigt den Ausgangspegel von -12 dB bis to +12 dB an.
2. GAIN Reguliert den Gesamt-Gain der Equalizer-Stufe.
3. EQUALIZER-STUFE Mit diesem Regler wird der Umfang des Absenkens und Anhebens der jeweiligen
Frequenzen eingestellt. Der GME 131 ist an der Oberseite jedes Bandes mit FLS ® -LEDs ausgestattet. Diese
Anzeigen leuchten auf, wenn es bei dieser Frequenz zu einer Rückkopplung kommt.
4. LOW CUT Aktiviert einen Filter, der Frequenzen unter 40 Hz abweist. Die Frequenzdämpfung beträgt
24 dB pro Oktave bei aktiviertem Filter, wie von der aufleuchtenden zugehörigen LED angezeigt. Dieser
Filter arbeitet selbst bei aktiviertem Bypass-Schalter.
5. BYPASS Hiermit wird ermöglicht, dass das Signals das Gerät mit Ausnahme des Tiefpassfilters umgeht.
Ist dieser Schalter aktiviert, wird das Signal vom Eingang durch den Filter zum Ausgang geleitet.
6. POWER Steht dieser Schalter auf der Position ON, wird das Gerät mit Netzstrom versorgt. Die zugehörige
LED leuchtet auf um anzuzeigen, dass das Gerät mit Strom versorgt wird.

7. WECHSELSTROMSTECKDOSE Für ein genormtes IEC-Stromkabel (beiliegend).
Der Erdungsstift darf in keinem Fall an irgendeinem Gerät abgebrochen werden. Er ist zu Ihrer Sicherheit
vorhanden.
Ist die verwendete Steckdose nicht mit einem Erdungsstift ausgestattet, muss ein geeigneter
Erdungsadapter verwendet und die dritte Ader korrekt geerdet werden. Um die Gefahr eines elektrischen
Schlags oder eines Brands zu verhindern, müssen der Equalizer sowie sämtliche zugehörigen
Ausrüstungsteile korrekt geerdet werden.
8. OUTPUT Der dreischraubige Eurostecker dient als symmetrierter Ausgang.

Installation
Diese Equalizer sind so ausgelegt, dass sie in einem herkömmlichen EIA-Geräterack installiert werden können.
Da die Tiefe des Gerätes lediglich 7-3/8" beträgt, können sie praktisch in ein Rack beliebiger Größe
eingesetzt werden. Die Komponenten, die nur zwei Rackhöhen messen, sind mit integrierten Montageösen
ausgestattet, und zu ihrer Montage benötigen Sie keine zusätzliche Hardware mit Ausnahme von zwei
Rackschrauben.
Sämtliche Anschlüsse zum Equalizer erfolgen über die Rückseite. Es wird empfohlen, zwischen dem
Gehäuse und der inneren Rückseite Ihres Geräteracks einen zusätzlichen Freiraum von 4" für die
Verkabelung zu belassen.
Diese Produkte erzeugen zwar nicht soviel Wärme, dass eine Fremdkühlung oder Konvektionskühlung
erforderlich ist, es wird jedoch empfohlen, bei der Montage im Rack über und unter dem Gerät einen
Freiraum von einer Rackhöhe zur Belüftung zu belassen. Bei Installationen mit mehreren Verstärkern wird
zudem empfohlen, den Equalizer im oberen Bereich des Racks anzubringen und die Verstärker im unteren
Bereich zu positionieren.

Description
Ces équaliseurs sont le fruit de l’expérience de Peavey Electronics dans le domaine du matériel de
traitement et diffusion de signal sonore. Spécifiquement adaptés aux installations fixes, ils sont de
fabrication robuste et dotés de performances audio de hautes qualités. Les GME 131 et AEQ 215 sont tous
deux au format 2-unités rack, incorporent une circuiterie faible-bruit, faible-distorsion et proposent des
connecteurs Euro/3-vis pour leurs simplicité et possibilités de connexions. Ils possèdent également des

1. Les INDICATEURS LEDS DE SORTIE vous indiquent le niveau de sortie actuel entre -12 dB et +12 dB.
2. Le GAIN vous permet de controler le niveau de sortie de votre équaliseur
3. La SECTION EQUALISATION vous permet de controler les valeurs cut/boost appliquées aux fréquences
respectives. Le GME 131 est équipé du FLSÆ (Système de location de Feedback) et les Leds s’illuminent
pour indiquer la/les fréquences de départ de feedback.
4. Le filtre LOW CUT (coupe-bas) vous permet d‘éliminer toutes les fréquences infèrieures 40 Hz, qui
pourraient endommager votre système de diffusion. Sa pente est 24 dB par octave quand le filtre est
engagé, la Led correspondante s’illuminant.
5. L’interrupteur de BYPASS vous permet de n’appliquer aucune modification au signal d’entrée de votre
unité à l’exeption des filtres coupe-bas. Si le Bypass est engagé, le signal va directement de l’entrée (Input)
au filtre coupe-bas puis à la sortie (Output).
6. L’intrrupteur POWER vous permet de mettre votre unité sous tension. Le Led correpondante s’illumine
pour indiquer ce statut.

Ces unités procurent des performances remarquables leur permettant d’être utilisées dans de nombreuses
applications, amateurs ou proffessionnelles.
Installation
Ces équaliseurs ont été étudiés pour être installé dans un équipement Rack au standard EIA. Leur
prodondeur est 7-3/8" (188 mm). Au format 2-unités, ils possèdent d’origine les oreilles de fixation et ne
nécessitent donc d’aucun adaptateur supplémentaire.
Toutes les connections à votre unité s’effectuent sur le panneau arrière. Nous vous recommandons de
prévoir un espace de 10 cm supplémentaire en profondeur pour le cablage de vos unités.
Bien que ces produits ne dégagent pas excessivement de chaleur, nous vous recommandons de laisser un
espace libre au dessus et en dessous de votre unité. Dans le cas d’une utilisation en installations avec
amplificateurs de puissance, placez ces derniers en position basse et les équaliseurs en position haute.

What This Warranty Covers
Your Peavey Warranty covers defects in material and workmanship in Peavey products purchased and serviced in the U.S.A. and
Canada.
What This Warranty Does Not Cover
The Warranty does not cover: (1) damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, improper installation or operation, rental, product
modification or neglect; (2) damage occurring during shipment; (3) damage caused by repair or service performed by persons
not authorized by Peavey; (4) products on which the serial number has been altered, defaced or removed; (5) products not purchased
from an Authorized Peavey Dealer.
Who This Warranty Protects
This Warranty protects only the original retail purchaser of the product.
How Long This Warranty Lasts
The Warranty begins on the date of purchase by the original retail purchaser. The duration of the Warranty is as follows:

What Peavey Will Do
We will repair or replace (at Peavey's discretion) products covered by warranty at no charge for labor or materials. If the product
or component must be shipped to Peavey for warranty service, the consumer must pay initial shipping charges. If the
repairs are covered by warranty, Peavey will pay the return shipping charges.
How To Get Warranty Service
(1) Take the defective item and your sales receipt or other proof of date of purchase to your Authorized Peavey Dealer or
Authorized Peavey Service Center.
OR
(2) Ship the defective item, prepaid, to Peavey Electronics Corporation, International Service Center, 412 Highway 11 & 80 East,
