The <strong>Chamber</strong>’s Friday at the <strong>Beach</strong><br />
breakfast, hosted by Paris Janos <strong>of</strong><br />
WJHG New Channel 7, kicks <strong>of</strong>f 2008<br />
on January 11th at Boardwalk <strong>Beach</strong> Resort<br />
and will spotlight Dr. Rick Harper, Director <strong>of</strong><br />
the HAAS Center for Business Research and<br />
Economic Development at UWF. On February<br />
8th, Simon Property Group takes center stage<br />
at Friday at the <strong>Beach</strong> to announce the grand<br />
opening <strong>of</strong> Pier Park. The event takes place at<br />
the Marriott Bay Point Golf Resort & Spa.<br />
Peter Rummell <strong>of</strong> The St. Joe Company will<br />
give a special presentation on Regionalism. Big<br />
Band entertainment will be provided by Swing<br />
Set, and WMBB News 13’s Amy Hoyt will<br />
host the event again.<br />

On Friday, February 22nd the <strong>Chamber</strong> will<br />
hold its Annual Awards Banquet at Edgewater<br />
<strong>Beach</strong> Resort. Four prestigious community<br />
awards will be presented at this semi-formal<br />
gala: Pioneer <strong>of</strong> the Year, The Hank Swicord<br />
Distinguished Service <strong>of</strong> the Year, Small Business<br />
Person <strong>of</strong> the Year and Jean L. Shafer Ambassador<br />
<strong>of</strong> the Year.<br />
