Dining Out For years, old favorites like Capt. Anderson’s, Boar’s Head, Breakers on the Beach and the Treasure Ship defined the history of the Beach and set the culinary benchmark of this beachside resort. While these longtime standards still serve up some of the Beach’s best cuisine, there is a whole new dining ambiance on the horizon of Panama City Beach. The area also offers a vibrant nightlife, with many evening spots featuring live music and dancing through the summer season and beyond. Like live entertainment while you dine? The Beach now boasts an array of blues clubs, jazz bars and restaurants featuring live music. Willy’s Pier Bar books some of the hottest blues acts in the nation. Margaritaville features bands and live guitar ensembles nightly, and check out the “beachy” laid back live music at Calypso. Prefer sunshine on your shoulders during your meal? Sharky’s and Schooner’s Beach Bars highlight the laid back “local color” of Panama City Beach, or grab some fresh oysters at Montego Bay or Shuckum’s.
