Community College (GCCC) continues to
provide a first class education to the citizens of Bay,
Gulf and Franklin Counties. With its strong emphasis
on success, regardless of student’s academic background,
age or educational goals, the college is proud
of the success of its graduates who transfer to state
universities and of its occupational students who have
extremely high placement rates in the careers they
have chosen.
GCCC faculty and staff dedicate themselves to serving
students who plan to transfer to a state university,
want a new career or better job skills, seek basic skills,
or want to enrich their lives. GCCC serves more than
7,000 students each semester and an additional
21,000 in Lifelong Learning continuing education
courses. Students may earn one of 75 associate of arts
“ACCESS, OPPORTUNITY & HOPE”
or one of 9 associate of science degrees offered by
GCCC. Twenty associate of applied science degrees,
along with six-month and one year technical and
vocational certificate programs are also available.
Because 75 percent of GCCC students work, classes are
offered at convenient times and in convenient locations
-- morning, afternoon, evening and weekend
courses, in addition to courses on-line and on video
tape/DVDs that students can view at their own pace
in their own homes. In addition to the main campus
in Panama City, the college holds classes at Tyndall Air
Force Base, the North Bay Center in Southport and the
Gulf/Franklin Center in Port St. Joe. For more information

Florida State University - Panama
City provides students with the advantages of both
a small college atmosphere and a major Research I
university. In cooperation with community and
junior colleges, students can achieve their higher
education goals while working and living in Bay and
surrounding counties.
FSU Panama City offers upper division courses and
programs (junior/senior and graduate level), while
community colleges provide the first two years of

Nearly 1,000 students are enrolled in more than 30
undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
Classes at FSU PC are small with many opportunities
for personalized instruction and student interaction.
Both part-time, evening and full-time, daytime
programs are available. Courses are taught by one
of 33 resident faculty members or Tallahassee faculty
members. Located 100 miles from the main campus
in Tallahassee, the waterfront setting is one of the
campus’ most striking attributes.
