Turning up the Heat

appy belated Birthday, Jeff! We’re the same age! With
my birthday just around the corner, I’d like to know how
do you stay in such great shape at 41?
Jeff Timmons; Happy Birthday to you too! Thanks for
the compliment. I just try to stay in the gym, and eat right.
Pretty simple. I’ve been on a low carb diet for years. It works
wonders for me.
I know you’ve been very busy. How was it out touring again
with the 98 Degrees, Boyz II Men and New Kids on the
Block? Jeff; It was a dream tour. The best time I’ve ever had
on the road.
Are you currently working on any new music? Jeff; Yes, I
have a new single coming out! A new music video is around
the corner as well!
That’s great news! I’m also so excited to hear that have a
hot new reality show coming out, June 1st on E Television.
Jeff; Yes! We filmed the movie for the series, “Men of the
Strip” here in Las Vegas. We just finished about two weeks
ago. It was a blast. The interesting thing about the show is
the guys. It’s about their lives, and how a bunch of type A’s interact
with each other, and their quest to be the best at what
they do. We made a conscious effort to select talented guys.
I can’t wait to see it! Who creates all those sexy dance
moves for you guys? Jeff; Glenn Douglas Packard is our
choreographer. He’s amazing. He’s got an incredible vision.
Glenn is known for choreographing Michael Jackson, Pink,
Usher, and many incredible artists.
Do you sing any of your hits on the show? Jeff; I do! You
have to sing the 98 Degrees classics. They’re what got me to
where I am.
Will your personal life, (wife & kids) be included in the TV
series? What do they think of it? Jeff; They are a small part of
it. They love the show. I’ve been striving to get this on television
for awhile, and they are very supportive and happy for
me.
That’s wonderful. I know you’ve done a lot of philanthropy
to support children and also for AIDS, including St. Jude
Children’s Hospital and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatrics Aids
Foundation. Jeff; Yes, I’ve done a lot with St. Jude’s, Elizabeth
Glaser, Race to Erase for MS, Susan G. Komen, I’ve headlined
various Pride parade’s, and I am an equal rights advocate.
You HAVE to give back.
You’ve always been such a friend and brother, so to speak
to the gay community. Do you have anything to say to your
gay fans? Jeff; Like all fans, you are appreciated and not ever
taken for granted. I’m blessed and thankful for the support.
I appreciate the dedication and loyalty from the fan base for
nearly 20 years now.
