18. Gains<br />

In 2009-10 an impairment loss <strong>of</strong> $200,000 was recognised as a result <strong>of</strong> extensive storm damage to Perth Zoo’s <strong>Australia</strong>n Wetlands exhibit infrastructure. <strong>The</strong> exhibit<br />

was closed to the public during the period to enable rectification <strong>of</strong> the storm damage along with a major upgrade to the exhibit. <strong>The</strong> exhibit was re-opened to the public<br />

during the period and the previously recognised impairment reversed.<br />
