That the practice of this House, based on decisions given for years past, had been : to prevent

That the motion for adjoqrnment would anticipate the Debate on the Lotteries Bill which ww

Order, 343 .
That the object in sending a Bill to a Select Committee was that amendments might be
suggested which the Committee thought desirable . The amendments made were within the
scope of theBill, and lie therefore ruled the Bill in Order, 345 .
