LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS<br />

MONDAY 12 OCTOBER 2009<br />

A Review <strong>of</strong> Environmental Factors was prepared for the Berowra Commuter Car Park project in order<br />

to obtain planning approval. This was placed on public display from 21 August to 4 September 2009, and<br />

was exhibited at Berowra Library and at Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation <strong>of</strong>fices.<br />

The Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation consulted the community about the Berowra<br />

Commuter Car Park project through:<br />

• One to one door knock consultation and letterbox drops;<br />

• Advertisement <strong>of</strong> the Review <strong>of</strong> Environmental Factors public display in local newspapers; and<br />

• Consultation with local councils and other non-community stakeholders.<br />

The Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation identified and consulted individuals, groups and<br />

organisations with an interest in the project, including:<br />

• Government Agencies including RTA and RailCorp;<br />

• Hornsby Shire Council;<br />

• Rail commuters, local residents and local businesses;<br />

• Emergency services and transport service providers; and;<br />

• Other projects⁄stakeholders in vicinity or who enquired about the project.<br />

The Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation received 16 responses from the community and<br />

stakeholders. These submissions are being considered prior to determination <strong>of</strong> the project.<br />
