(2) What is the total number <strong>of</strong> special needs teachers in the Tweed electorate in the following years:<br />

Answer—<br />

(1) In government schools in the Tweed Electorate, there are 299 students identified with special needs<br />

in special classes or in regular classes supported through the Integration, Funding Support Program.<br />

(2) (a) 22.9 full-time equivalent teachers.<br />

(b) 22.9 full-time equivalent teachers.<br />

(c) 22.9 full-time equivalent teachers.<br />

*7475 COST OF COMMUNITY AWARENESS PROGRAM—Mr Michael Richardson asked the Deputy<br />

Premier, Minister for Climate Change and the Environment, and Minister for Commerce—<br />

(1) What is the total cost <strong>of</strong> the "Black Balloons" community awareness program?<br />

(2) How much is being spent on television?<br />

(3) How much is being spent on radio?<br />

(4) How much is being spent on print media?<br />

Answer—<br />

(1) The Energy Efficiency Community Awareness and Information Program has received funding <strong>of</strong> $15<br />

million over three years as part <strong>of</strong> the NSW Government's $150 million Energy Efficiency Strategy.<br />

$3.58 million has been approved up to September 2009.<br />

(2) $1,972,914.<br />

(3) $353,879.<br />

(4) $535,740.<br />

*7476 HOT WATER SYSTEM REBATES—Mr Michael Richardson asked the Deputy Premier, Minister for<br />

Climate Change and the Environment, and Minister for Commerce—<br />

(1) How many rebates have been claimed for hot water heaters since the hot water system rebates<br />

program began?<br />

(2) Has demand for hot water system rebates increased five-fold since February 2009?<br />

(3) If the Residential Rebate Program is such a success, why is the Minister reducing the amount <strong>of</strong><br />

funding for the program?<br />

(4) Why wasn't the reduced funding publicised in her August 25 press release about hot water rebates?<br />

(5) When will she announce the funding reduction?<br />

Answer—<br />

(1) As <strong>of</strong> 15 July 2009, 32,913 rebates for hot water systems have been paid.<br />

(2) Yes.<br />

(3) The commitment was and remains $100 million for the Residential Rebate Program. There are no<br />

reductions to the Program.<br />

(3) How many <strong>of</strong> these students were sent to a behaviour school for 3-6 months?<br />

(4) How many <strong>of</strong> these students were sent to a behaviour school for more than 6 months?<br />

(5) How many <strong>of</strong> these students were aged:<br />

(a) under 14;<br />

(b) 14 years;<br />

(c) 15 years;<br />

(d) over 15?<br />

(6) How many suspensions were there from behaviour schools in the last 12 months?<br />

(7) What were the periods <strong>of</strong> suspension for these students?<br />
