How many Neighbourhood Centres receive recurrent funding in the Wyong electorate?<br />

Answer—<br />

The following Neighbourhood Centres in the Wyong area are receiving recurrent funding in the 2009-10<br />

financial year:<br />

• Toukley Neighbourhood Centre<br />

• Wyong Neighbourhood Centre Community Development<br />

• San Remo Neighbourhood Centre<br />

• Berkeley Vale Neighbourhood Centre<br />

*7452 LAND ACQUISITION PROGRAM—Mrs Judy Hopwood asked the Minister for Planning, and Minister<br />

for Redfern Waterloo—<br />

With reference to Minister Administering the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act works-inprogress<br />

allocations in Budget <strong>Paper</strong> <strong>No</strong>. 4 <strong>of</strong> the 2009-10 Budget <strong>Paper</strong>s:<br />

(1) For what purpose is the "general land acquisition (five year rolling program)" allocation?<br />

(2) How many lots have been purchased as <strong>of</strong> the current date from the "land acquisition for north west<br />

rail corridor" allocation?<br />

(3) What suburbs were the lots purchased in?<br />

(4) What is the total legal cost <strong>of</strong> the acquisitions?<br />

(5) Were any lots purchased under the Land Acquisition Act?<br />

(6) If so, how many?<br />

(7) Which legal firms were retained on behalf <strong>of</strong> the Government in relation to "land acquisition for<br />

north west rail corridor"?<br />

Answer—<br />

(1) Purchase <strong>of</strong> land identified in Environmental Planning Instruments with the acquisition authority<br />

identified as the Ministerial Corporation (the Minister administering the Environmental Planning &<br />

Assessment Act 1979).<br />

(2) 46.<br />

(3) Cherrybrook, Kellyville and Rouse Hill.<br />

(4) $141 million for the acquisition <strong>of</strong> the land (including legal costs for the transactions).<br />

(5) All lots have been acquired by negotiation in accordance with the provisions <strong>of</strong> the Land Acquisition<br />

(Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991. <strong>No</strong> lots were compulsorily acquired under the Act.<br />

(6) As per answer to Q5, no lots have been compulsorily acquired and therefore this question is not<br />

applicable.<br />

(7) Champion Legal.<br />

*7453 NEW POLICE FORCE WORKS—Mrs Judy Hopwood asked the Minister for Planning, and Minister for<br />

Redfern Waterloo representing the Minister for Police, Minister for Lands, and Minister for Rural<br />

Affairs—<br />

With reference to NSW Police Force new works allocations in Budget <strong>Paper</strong> <strong>No</strong>. 4 <strong>of</strong> the 2009-10 Budget<br />

<strong>Paper</strong>s:<br />

(1) Which locations are included in the "prisoner handling upgrades at 14 locations" funding allocation?<br />

(2) What Local Area Commands will receive funding from the "radio communication - phase 2"<br />

allocation?<br />

(3) What Local Area Commands will receive funding from the "roll out <strong>of</strong> tasers to first response police"<br />

allocation?<br />

Answer—<br />

The NSW Police Force has advised me:<br />

(1) <strong>New</strong>town, Cobar, Nyngan, Warren, Wee Waa, Tumbarumba, Gundagai, Temora, Leeton, Surry Hills,<br />

Blacktown, <strong>New</strong>castle, Nelson and Laurieton.<br />

(2) and (3) This funding is statewide.<br />

Change and the Environment, and Minister for Commerce representing the Attorney General, Minister<br />
