(1) What is the average length <strong>of</strong> time spent on the public sector redeployment program?<br />

(2) How many people who were part <strong>of</strong> the redeployment program were then paid a redundancy in the<br />

2007-08 and 2008-09 financial years?<br />

(3) What was the total redundancy amount paid to these employees in the 2007-08 and 2008-09 financial<br />

years?<br />

(4) Which department(s) is responsible for funding redundancy payments?<br />

Answer—<br />

(1) 71 per cent <strong>of</strong> registered excess employees seeking redeployment have been placed within 12 months.<br />

(2) and (3) Information in relation to this matter is held by individual agencies.<br />

(4) Each agency is responsible for funding its redundancy payments.<br />

Fit Out <strong>of</strong> Vehicles for Additional Police Officers - Various<br />

Mobile Data Terminal Upgrade - Various<br />

Upgrade <strong>of</strong> Information Communications Technology Equipment - Various<br />

What is the amount under each entry that has been allocated to the Murrumbidgee electorate?<br />

Answer—<br />

The NSW Police Force has advised me:<br />

Funding provided in the 2009-10 Budget for improvements to radio communications, mobile data<br />

terminals and information communications technology equipment are for statewide improvements to<br />

police systems. This funding is not allocated to specific Local Area Commands or electorates.<br />

Similarly, as the allocation to Local Area Commands <strong>of</strong> additional police <strong>of</strong>ficers attesting in 2010 has<br />

not yet been determined, it is not currently possible to estimate how funds for the fitout <strong>of</strong> vehicles for<br />

these police <strong>of</strong>ficers will be allocated to specific areas.<br />

In relation to teacher recruitment by the Department <strong>of</strong> Education and Training:<br />

(d) 2007;<br />

(e) 2008;<br />

(f) 2009 (to date)?<br />

(2) What is the approximate number <strong>of</strong> teachers recruited by the DET that have left the pr<strong>of</strong>ession after:<br />
