LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS<br />

Answer—<br />

I am advised:<br />

(1) The Service Procurement Plan was started in January 2005 and ran for 12 months. The final report<br />

was submitted in January 2006.<br />

(2) The works for the Project Definition Plan started in August 2006 and ran for 14 months. The final<br />

report was submitted in October 2007, and included revisions to the Economic Appraisal.<br />

(3) The Infrastructure State Environmental Planning Policy Part 3A Project Planning Application is<br />

expected to be a six to nine month process to allow for lodgement, notification and exhibition, and to<br />

respond to any clarifications or issues raised.<br />

*7378 LOCKHART HOSPITAL—Mr Daryl Maguire asked the Deputy Premier, Minister for Climate Change<br />

and the Environment, and Minister for Commerce representing the Attorney General, Minister for<br />

Industrial Relations, Minister for Health, Minister for the Central Coast, Vice President <strong>of</strong> the Executive<br />

Council—<br />

(1) Has the Minister or his department received a copy <strong>of</strong> the "Service Plan" relating to the Lockhart<br />

Hospital and the Health Advisory Service Council's request that it become a Multi Purpose Service<br />

(MPS)?<br />

(2) If so:<br />

(a) When was the plan received?<br />

(b) When was receipt acknowledged by the Advisory Council?<br />

(c) How long can the committee expect to wait for approval <strong>of</strong> a MPS model?<br />

(3) How much will be required to complete a Service Procurement Plan for the proposed Lockhart<br />

MPS?<br />

(4) Has the Minister allocated funds to enable procurement planning to begin?<br />

(5) If not, why not?<br />

(6) When can the Health Advisory Services Council expect a funding announcement?<br />

(7) Has the Federal Government been advised <strong>of</strong> the community's wish to establish a MPS?<br />

(8) Has the Federal Government sufficient funds for a MPS Development Plan which could include<br />

Lockhart?<br />

Answer—<br />

(1) Yes.<br />

(2) (a) and (b) NSW Health received the Lockhart Health Service Plan on 5 March 2009 and sent a letter<br />

to the Greater <strong>South</strong>ern Area Health Service on 11 March 2009 acknowledging receipt <strong>of</strong> the Health<br />

Service Plan.<br />

(c) NSW Health is awaiting Australian Government approval for the provisional allocation <strong>of</strong> aged<br />

care places for the development <strong>of</strong> an MPS at Lockhart. The Advisory Council will be advised when<br />

this is received.<br />

(3) The timeframe will be subject to the appointment <strong>of</strong> a Director <strong>of</strong> Project Planning.<br />

(4) Funding to enable procurement planning has been allocated.<br />

(5) N⁄A.<br />

(6) There are a large number <strong>of</strong> requests for capital projects across the State and each year difficult<br />

choices have to be made about which projects are undertaken within the available budget. It is too<br />

early in the planning process to give a timeframe for future works.<br />

(7) Yes.<br />

(8) This is a matter for the Australian Government's Department <strong>of</strong> Health and Ageing.<br />

*7379 WAGGA WAGGA POLICE LOCAL AREA COMMAND—Mr Daryl Maguire asked the Minister for<br />

Planning, and Minister for Redfern Waterloo representing the Minister for Police, Minister for Lands, and<br />

Minister for Rural Affairs—<br />

(1) How much state revenue has been raised from traffic infringements within the Wagga Wagga Police<br />

Local Area Command?<br />

(2) How many police <strong>of</strong>ficers are stationed within the Wagga Wagga Local Area Command?<br />

Answer—<br />

The NSW Police Force has advised me:<br />

(1) This question should be directed to the Treasurer.<br />

(2) Details <strong>of</strong> police numbers at Local Area Commands are posted on the NSW Police Force internet<br />

site, www.police.nsw.gov.au<br />
