In relation to employees at the Tweed Court House:<br />

What are the total number <strong>of</strong> employees at the Tweed Court House in the following periods:<br />

(a) 2007;<br />

(b) 2008;<br />

(c) Year to date?<br />

Answer—<br />

I am advised that the number <strong>of</strong> full-time equivalent staff positions has been 6.4 for these periods.<br />

for Transport, and Minister for the Illawarra representing the Attorney General, Minister for Industrial<br />

In relation to AVOs in the Tweed⁄Byron Local Area Command (LAC):<br />

(1) What is the number <strong>of</strong> AVOs issued in the Tweed⁄Byron Local Area Command for the following<br />

periods:<br />

(a) 2007;<br />

(b) 2008;<br />

(c) Year to date?<br />

(2) What is the breakdown <strong>of</strong> AVOs issued for males and females for the following periods:<br />

(a) 2007;<br />

(c) Year to date?<br />

(3) How many AVOs were breached in the following periods:<br />

(a) 2007;<br />

(b) 2008;<br />

Answer—<br />

I am advised:<br />

In relation to 2007 figures I refer the member to the Bureau <strong>of</strong> Crime Statistics and Research which<br />

publishes details with respect to AVOs on its website.<br />

Figures for 2008 and 2009 have not yet been finalized by the Bureau.<br />

*7324 CARLINGFORD LINE TRAIN SERVICES—Mr Michael Richardson asked the Minister for Transport,<br />

and Minister for the Illawarra—<br />

What is the Government's response to the Hills Shire Council's request that train services on the<br />

Carlingford line be increased in line with the massive population growth planned for the area around<br />

Carlingford Station as part <strong>of</strong> council's Carlingford Precinct Plan?<br />

Answer—<br />

I am advised:<br />

NSW Transport and Infrastructure is working with the Hills Shire Council, the Department <strong>of</strong> Planning,<br />

RailCorp and the Roads and Traffic Authority to align public transport services with existing and<br />

anticipated future demand. In addition, NSW Transport and Infrastructure is participating in planning for<br />

the Epping Town Centre, which is a potential key destination for Carlingford residents in terms <strong>of</strong> access<br />

to Macquarie Park and the CBD via the Epping to Chatswood Rail Line and a potential future <strong>No</strong>rth West<br />

Metro.<br />

A Transport Blueprint is being developed by NSW Transport and Infrastructure for the Sydney<br />

Metropolitan Area Carlingford. This will map out the actions and strategies necessary to ensure our<br />

transport system continues to grow and adapt to change to achieve better transport outcomes for Sydney<br />

passengers and the movement <strong>of</strong> goods. The Blueprint will build on the networks and initiatives already<br />
