Dear Guest, dear Reader
In this issue we have once more compiled for you lots of exciting new features, interesting
reports and entertaining stories from the exclusive world of Seaside Hotels. You are invited
to accompany us on a journey to the primeval continent of Gondwana and to learn more
about the Seaside Hotel group’s commitment to the environment. We also report on extensive
investment which we have recently implemented to make your stay at our hotels even
more pleasant, ranging from the refurbishing of many rooms right down to the complete
restructuring of some hotel areas.
At this point, however, we, Gregor and Theo Gerlach, would like to use this foreword to
make a special announcement. We are delighted that Anouchka Gerlach, respectively our
sister and daughter, will from now on be contributing her experience and expertise to
Seaside Hotels. As an owner-operated family company we feel that we have a personal
responsibility to our guests, which makes it all the more important to live up to this maxim
at the management level, too. After studying business management in London, Anouchka
successfully completed her MBA studies in hotel management at the École Hôtelière de
Lausanne. She then acquired further experience with a prominent global chain of luxury
resort hotels and implemented Europewide projects on behalf of King Sturge, the London
firm of hotel consultants with international operations. Within our Spanish Seaside Hotels
she will be assuming responsibility for a number of tasks in the areas of quality assurance,
innovation and cost controlling, while supporting us in marketing and sales and contributing
her experience to the development of new hotel projects. Welcome on board, Anouchka!
