Wi-Fi at the Public Hall
We are delighted to announce that we have now
installed Wi-Fi in the Public Hall. The main router is
located in the Parish office. We have a booster unit
upstairs, so both main Committee Rooms have good
reception, and a booster can also be supplied if you
want reliable reception in the main hall. We reserve the
right to charge for the use of Wi-Fi
for specific events in the Hall, to
help defray the monthly charge.

When the above book was published to celebrate the Millennium, it
very quickly sold out - and over the last few years the Public Hall
office has received quite a number of enquiries regarding the
possibility of a reprint.
Before making a decision to re-order, we would like to gauge the
likely demand, and it would be most helpful if parishioners would let
us know whether they would be interested in ordering a copy, which
may contain a small number of updates. Because it will be a much
smaller print run than the original, we anticipate the cost per book
will be higher (in the region of £35).
If you would be interested in ordering a copy of the St Martin
Parish Book, please send the following details to Parish Office.

Rates
Those of you who have not yet completed and sent back your
Annual Rates Returns for 2013 are urged to do so as soon as
possible. Our Rates Assessment Committee has a busy couple
of months ahead, if they are going to complete all the
Assessments in their usual efficient manner.
Driving licence photographs
(some useful advice)
Only one photograph is needed, and if you are supplying a valid
identification document such as a passport, the photo does not
need to be signed on the back by anyone.
Please make sure the photo is of passport quality. Our
notice board has examples of the good and the bad (if not the
ugly). It must have a light background, preferably white. Our
licences are inputed in the St Martin office and sent via the
internet to be printed in St Clement or St Helier. If the photos
are not of sufficient quality, they do get rejected, causing extra
work for everyone.

Passport application forms are available at the Public hall. Most
people are not aware that if you are just doing a standard adult
passport renewal, there is no need to have the photographs
signed by anyone else. See Item 7 of the accompanying notes
for details.
