Despite the continued attacks on the people of Vietnam during the Year of the
Monkey, the government and people will accept you as a friend and as a citizen
of the nation when you decide to leave the discredited Communist cause.
You may return to the Just Cause by reporting to any official of the R.epublic,
to officials of hamlets, villages, districts, or province. Or you may report to
any Vietnamese or Allied military unit. Our soldiers and officials have been
ordered to accept you and to treat you well. For your own safety, you should hide
your weapons before you come in. You may lead the authorities to your weapons
later and receive your reward. You may use a safe conduct pass, this leaflet,
or any governm ent leaflet. If you do not have a leaflet, just tell the official that
you want to rally lUlder the Open Arms policy. You will recieve good treatment.
