I am Huynh Cu, former Lieutenant Colonel and r-'lilitary Training Chief
of the Viet Cong 5th Military Region, and have rallied to the Repuvlic of
Vietnam Government.
Today, I would like to convince you that only when you have chosen the
right way as I did may you save yourselves. As a matter of fact, that is
the goal pursued by our whole people, the objective that we are trying to
accomplish.
Doublt1essly you, as well as I previously, have suspected that lithe
Chieu Hoi Program is nothing but a propaganda device, a humbug". It is not
so in reality. The Chieu Hoi program, in fact, embodied the compassion and
clemency of the people and government of the Republic of Vietnam towards you
as well as me in earlier time.
Therefore~ I call upon your discerning judgment, lest you should be

and incur a foolish death in this war.
