Americans have come to Vietnam because t hey are determined
to help defeat Communist aggressi on. Like us, they know that
i f this aggression is not s topped it will spread lilee a deadl y
disease and infect other parts of the world. Like many of our
soldiers, Americans have given their blood because t hey share
a grave responsibility .
WHY HAVE AMERICANS COME TO VIETNAM?
But, Americans have come to Vietnam to do more than help
fight the war. They have come to help us rebuild our homes
and our lives . Like us, Americans know that the ravages of
war must be erased, 80 that a free people can live in a
prosperous land.
