3. Colonel Tran Van Dac, alias Tam Ha, former Field Grade Political Officer
of the 5th Division, rallied to the National Cause on 19 April 1968. He Commanded
his division in the attacks on Saigon capital city during the Tet General offensive.
4. Lt Col Phan : !Iau, former Commander of the 165th Regiment, rallied to the
National Cause on 7 IVlay 1968 at Binh Duong. He was a member of the CommIDlist
Party for 21 years.
All four of them believe that: Peace will come to the Fatherland only when the
CommIDlists give up their a r)gl'e;c;sion and the whole people positively contribute to
the reconstruction and defense of the country. Then a lasting Spring of Peace will
prevail on this land.
