We Chapmans’ are typically known for breeding Quarter Horses, and over the last
couple of years we’ve tested our luck with Paints, and have come out extremely lucky.
STORY: CHAPMANS • PHOTOS: TRACEY BAVINTON
w
We’ve known many people over the years breeding Paints,
have continuously bred solid after solid. And yes, those
Chapman’s manage to breed three out of three coloured
foals, two fillies and one colt.
It all began when the Mytee Obvious Te mares we retained
were ready to breed. We decided to use the sire Gladiator*,
purely on his breeding alone we had to breed to him.
With the cross of both blood lines of the number one
Paint horse, Mighty Awesome, in the USA crossed with the
number one Quarter Horse producing mare, Conclusive
Lace, you’d be crazy not too get hold of these blood lines.
We chose to breed GSQ Mytee Fine Lady, to Gladiator*,
and the resulting foal was a loud overo colt, GSQ Mytee
