notification. This committee will determine if the requestor has demonstrated a<br />
theological integrity in his/her pursuit of endorsement.<br />
3. The written request must:<br />
a. Identify the requestor's current supervisory membership within ACPE <strong>and</strong> provide<br />
accompanying documentation of any/all <strong>Certification</strong> Readiness Consultations <strong>and</strong><br />
Committee Action Reports.<br />
b. Provide a written summary of the requestor's historical relationship with his/her<br />
faith group, reasons for the current conflict, descriptions of the actions <strong>and</strong> results<br />
of all attempts to resolve this conflict, with documentation of all official<br />
correspondence between the requestor <strong>and</strong> his/her faith group pertaining to the<br />
current impasse.<br />
c. A copy of this request, along with all accompanying materials <strong>and</strong> documentation,<br />
must be submitted to the appropriate regional certification chair.<br />
d. The Committee may decide to temporarily suspend the requirement for<br />
endorsement for up to seven years, with the requesting party making an annual<br />
progress report to the regional certification chair on attempts to resolve this<br />
conflict.<br />
e. The action of this Committee, <strong>and</strong> any conditions or recommendations, will be<br />
communicated in writing to the requestor with copies being sent to the <strong>Commission</strong><br />
<strong>and</strong> regional certification chairs. This decision <strong>and</strong> any recommendations will also<br />
be communicated to the Board of Representatives at its next plenary meeting.<br />
f. If, after seven years, there has been no resolution of the impasse, the temporary<br />
suspension of the requirement is removed <strong>and</strong> the individual must either<br />
demonstrate ecclesiastical endorsement by a recognized faith group or have their<br />
certification credential removed.<br />
g. This action is to be communicated to the requestor, the <strong>Commission</strong> chair <strong>and</strong><br />
appropriate regional certification chair, <strong>and</strong> the ACPE Board of Representatives at<br />
its next plenary meeting.<br />
