APPEARANCE FOR REVIEW OF SUPERVISORY COMPETENCE<br />

A. The report of this meeting includes:<br />

• Verification that the supervisor has maintained faith group endorsement.<br />

• Evaluation of the supervisor’s written materials.<br />

• Summary of the interview (describing the interaction of the supervisor with the<br />

committee.)<br />

• Evaluation of the professional competencies: (confirmation of competency to<br />

supervise requires a "satisfactory" rating for each competency.)<br />

√Supervisory Competence St<strong>and</strong>ard 406<br />

√ Conceptual Competence St<strong>and</strong>ard 407<br />

√ Collegial Competence St<strong>and</strong>ard 410.2<br />

• Clear indication of the committee’s action.<br />

• Names of committee members.<br />

B. Following review, the committee takes one of these actions:<br />

• confirms pastoral, supervisory <strong>and</strong> conceptual competence; the review is ended.<br />

• Admonishes, with specific recommendations for enhancing supervisory competence.<br />

• reprim<strong>and</strong>s <strong>and</strong> gives specific instructions for remediation to be followed under<br />

the direction of the regional certification committee for a designated period of<br />

time.<br />

• denies the right to practice CPE supervision for a specified period of time.<br />

• reverts to Supervisory C<strong>and</strong>idate status.<br />

• withdraws certification.<br />
