A number of MSH documents focus on supervision <strong>and</strong> provide tools <strong>and</strong> po<strong>in</strong>ters <strong>for</strong> good<br />
practice <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g team supervision (MSH 1993; MSH 2006) <strong>and</strong> establish<strong>in</strong>g a responsive<br />
supervisory system (MSH 1999). The MSH HRM Assessment tools <strong>in</strong>cludes supervision as a<br />
key component (MSH 1999; MSH 2003; MSH 2003).<br />
Private <strong>Health</strong> Sector Quality Improvement Package <strong>in</strong>cludes a chapter that enables<br />
supervisors to rate a private practice midwife‘s QI self-assessment responses to the questions.<br />
Supervisors are also able to record the practice midwife‘s action plans <strong>in</strong> order to monitor<br />
