ABOUT THE AUTHORS<br />

Chris Cook received a B.S. (1990) and a M.S.<br />

(1993) in Wildlife Science from Auburn University.<br />

He began work with the <strong>Alabama</strong> Division<br />

of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries in 1993<br />

as an area biologist in Walker County. <strong>In</strong> 1995,<br />

Chris transferred to Demopolis to begin work<br />

as a technical assistance biologist. He currently<br />

provides technical assistance on wildlife management to cooperators<br />

enrolled in the <strong>Deer</strong> <strong>Management</strong> Assistance Program, as well as other<br />

landowners and hunting clubs throughout <strong>Alabama</strong>. Chris also serves<br />

as the <strong>Deer</strong> Studies Project Leader for the Division of Wildlife and<br />

Freshwater Fisheries. Chris lives in Demopolis with his wife, Aprille.<br />

Bill Gray received a B.S. in Wildlife Science<br />

from Auburn University in 1990. He began his<br />

career with the <strong>Alabama</strong> Division of Wildlife<br />

and Freshwater Fisheries in 1991 as an area<br />

biologist in northwest <strong>Alabama</strong>. Since 1994,<br />

he has worked as a deer management biologist<br />

in east central and southeast <strong>Alabama</strong>. His primary<br />

duties include working with the <strong>Deer</strong> <strong>Management</strong> Assistance<br />

Program, providing technical assistance to landowners and deer enthusiasts,<br />

and conducting various deer research projects. Bill lives in<br />

Ashford with his wife, Aimee, and son, Forrest.<br />
