2 Balls (A)<br />

2 Balls (B)<br />

• Lion Brand <strong>Crochet</strong> Hook - Size J-10<br />

• Large-Eye Blunt Needles (Set of 6)<br />

GAUGE:<br />

1 Square = 8 x 8 in. (20.5 x 20.5 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match<br />

the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the<br />

materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to<br />

make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and<br />

rows, try a larger size hook or needles.<br />

AFGHAN<br />

SQUARE (make 9 – 5 with A and 4 with B)<br />

Ch 29.<br />

Row 1: (Sc, 2 dc) in 2nd ch from hook, *sk next 2 ch, (sc, 2 dc) in next ch; rep from * 7 more times, sk next 2 ch,<br />

sc in last ch – 28 sts.<br />

Rows 2–19: Ch 1, turn, (sc, 2 dc) in first sc, *sk next 2 sts, (sc, 2 dc) in next st; rep from * 7 more times, sk next 2<br />

sts, sc in last st. Fasten off.<br />

FINISHING<br />

Arrange Squares in 3 rows of 3 Squares each, as follows:<br />
