Recommended Graphics <strong>and</strong> Symbols <strong>for</strong> Rated Walls<br />

General Rated Wall Graphics<br />

The minimum designation <strong>of</strong> rated walls that should be provided on all plans, including<br />

Architectural Floor Plans, Mechanical, Plumbing, <strong>and</strong> Electrical Distribution Plans should be<br />

similar to the following:<br />

One-Hour Rating<br />

Two-Hour Rating<br />

Three-Hour Rating<br />

Four-Hour Rating<br />

Fire Barrier Walls <strong>for</strong> Separation <strong>of</strong> Spaces such as Atriums, Suites, or Fire Partitions required <strong>for</strong><br />

Tenant Space Separations may use a special graphic designation to distinguish its special use.<br />

Such graphics should be clearly identified in a graphic legend on the drawings.<br />

Special Rated Wall <strong>Design</strong>ations<br />

For Fire Barrier walls which have special functions that need to identified in plans, the following<br />

may be used:<br />
