Step Four: Recording Tap Averages for
t nn% Exposure Times
Begin Step Four
On the LUT calibration spreadsheet,
click the SET Command to Save as
Text tab and save tab as a text file
(File—Save As, then select Text(OS_2
or MS-DOS) in the Save as type drop
down list). Save only the active sheet.
In this step, you will be recording tap averages for each of the t nn%
exposure
times.
Saving Text Files
Save the commands as a text file so you can send the commands to the
camera through your terminal application rather than having to type in
each command individually. For example, to send a file using Microsoft
HyperTerminal, select Transfer then Send File .
Enter or send the first set
command to the camera.
Apply frame averaging to grabbed
images. See Frame Averaging
description in Step Two for details
Measure:
Tap 1 average ( Avg_tap1)
Tap 2 average ( Avg_tap2)

1. Open the 2M30SA phase1.75 LUT Calibrations.xls spreadsheet if it is not
already open.
2. On the Enter Data Here tab, enter the Avg_tap1 , and Avg_tap2 beside the
corresponding exposure time.
