Communications Protocol<br />
C1. Protocol Overview<br />
This protocol defines the complete method used to control the camera via a<br />
RS232 serial interface. The communication protocol defines the command format<br />
used, as well as the checksum and error handling methods used.<br />
C2. Protocol Features<br />
• ASCII-based<br />
• Checksum is optional. If it is provided, then the camera's microprocessor will<br />
verify it and only proceed if no error occurs.<br />
• Multi-drop communications<br />
• Multiple baud rates<br />
• No autobaud (camera will not respond if the wrong baud rate is chosen)<br />
Camera Serial Port Defaults<br />
• 8 data bits<br />
• 1 stop bit<br />
• No parity<br />
• No flow control<br />
• 38.4Kbps<br />
• Camera does not echo characters<br />
