Conditions for IODA Oceanian Championships 7. ENTRY 7.1 Subject to condition 10 of the Conditions for IODA Continental Championships: a. Each Oceanian member of IODA may enter any number of sailors. However, if the organisers and the IODA Executive Committee approve of a ceiling on the number of entries as stated in 7.3 below, the maximum number of entries per member will be at the discretion of the IODA Executive Committee. b. The IODA Executive Committee may decide to allow entries from non Oceanian members depending on the number of registered Oceanian sailors. c. Oceanian members are defined as those so listed in Appendix A of the IODA Administrative Handbook. Sailors whose IODA member is European but who are residents of an overseas territory that is geographically in Oceania may be entered by their IODA member at the discretion of the IODA Executive Committee and shall be considered to be Oceanian for the purpose of Condition 6 above. d. The defending Oceanian (closed) champion may participate, if eligible, in addition to the number of sailors allocated to his country. The champion, whichever the gender, shall not be considered as part of the minimum gender quota required as per condition 9.2 of the Conditions for IODA Continental Championships. 7.2 Each team shall be accompanied by one team leader who shall be responsible for the team at all times. 7.3 The IODAExecutive Committee in consultation with the organisers may at the time of selection of host venue prescribe rules to limit the number of entries and set gender criteria for teams of fewer than 10 sailors. 7.4 Where the Oceanian Championship is held in conjunction with a National Championship, that National Championship shall be closed. 51
