Ethics and Educational Leadership Over the past century, the issue of ethics and social responsibility in the practice of optometry has been extensively debated and documented. But the ethical and moral obligations inherent in positions of administrative and educational leadership have been frequently omitted from this debate. The critical role played by leaders in institutions of higher learning in establishing the moral tone of the community and the post-graduate behavior of students is underscored in the following series. The four articles that follow are based upon talks given by Dr. Henry Hay den, Dr. Richard L. Hopping, Dr. Alden N.
