O-5. Rent
Rent which includes water, internet access and bedding must be paid according to the following rates.
(1) Researchers

Note: For researchers arriving or leaving mid-month, the rent for that month is calculated at the daily
rate. Rent is subject to change.

O-6. Electricity
Residents must pay for the amount of electricity that they use, which is calculated according to the
reading on the meter attached to each unit.

O-7. Telephones
Telephones are only for connecting to other units within the building and to emergency numbers (police:
110; fire/ambulance: 119). They are also able to receive external calls.
O-8. Waste disposal
Garbage should be sorted into the 5 categories of – Combustible waste, Non-combustible waste, Cans,
Bottles, PET bottles – and taken out to the collection area behind building A. Please do not dispose of
furniture, electrical appliances and other large items at the garbage collection area or any other place in the
house. Report these items to the house office and follow the necessary procedures for disposal.
O-9. Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarms & Emergency Exits
Be sure to check and familiarize yourself with the locations of fire extinguishers, emergency alarms and
exits indicated on the floor plan of the building (see O-10).
