4.5.4.2 Installation of brush-type generators<br />

Removal prior to installation <strong>and</strong> removal of the carbon brushes holder<br />

1. Unscrew the two screws M8 x 45, spanner size 10 mm, (Figure 7/2) <strong>and</strong><br />

detach the sleeve (1).<br />

2. Remove both connection cables from the connection lugs of the carbon<br />

brushes holder (4). The connection cables are coded by the width of the<br />

connection lugs <strong>and</strong> therefore secured against interchanging.<br />

3. Unscrew the fastening screw of the carbon brushes holder <strong>and</strong> detach the<br />

carbon brushes holder (4).<br />

4. Pull out the transport locking (wooden chock).<br />

5. Remove the fan impeller shroud (3) from the generator.<br />
