(GSSAPI)<br />
• GSSAPI is independent of the underlying<br />
Transport (TCP, UDP,SCTP, etc.)<br />
• GSSAPI does NOT define the protocol used to<br />
pass data between endpoints:<br />
− FTP AUTH GSSAPI/ADAT <br />
• Along with Authentication GSSAPI provides:<br />
− Message Integrity: Guarantee the data has not been<br />
corrupted<br />
− Confidentiality: Encrypt the data being passed<br />
between the sender and receiver (if the underlying<br />
mechanism supports it)<br />
