APPENDIX 1: Site Conditions Documentation Checklist
Site conditions should be well documented before the implementation of management prescriptions and should
include the following as a minimum (Rodger 1998). (N.B. All projects should be screened against the projects in
Appendix 2 of the Class EA-PPCR to determine if the project falls within Category A, or if the project requires
further screening and EA requirements.)
Management prescriptions should be monitored and evaluated to determine if management actions are
obtaining desired results. Staff carrying out site documentation and monitoring should be given the proper level
of training. Because each of the management prescriptions presents its own unique challenges, the zone
ecologist should be consulted in the development of monitoring protocols.
