Site conditions should be well documented before the implementation of management prescriptions and should<br />

include the following as a minimum (Rodger 1998). (N.B. All projects should be screened against the projects in<br />

Appendix 2 of the Class EA-PPCR to determine if the project falls within Category A, or if the project requires<br />

further screening and EA requirements.)<br />

Management prescriptions should be monitored and evaluated to determine if management actions are<br />

obtaining desired results. Staff carrying out site documentation and monitoring should be given the proper level<br />

of training. Because each of the management prescriptions presents its own unique challenges, the zone<br />

ecologist should be consulted in the development of monitoring protocols.<br />
