Area Description This study area includes the Waymart wind facility, which sits atop the North-South ridge running along the line separating Wayne County from Lackawanna and Susquehanna Counties in Northeast Pennsylvania. <strong>The</strong> 43 turbine (65 MW, 213 ft hub height) facility was erected in 2003, and can be seen from many locations in the study area and especially from the towns <strong>of</strong> Waymart, which sits East <strong>of</strong> the facility, and Forest City, which straddles Wayne and Susquehanna Counties North <strong>of</strong> the facility. <strong>The</strong> study area is dominated topographically by the ridgeline on which the wind turbines are located, but contains rolling hills and many streams, lakes, and natural ponds.
