electricity grid. It's an important part of the conservation<br />
and demand management that is needed to ensure a<br />
reliable energy supply in Ontario for the future. Distributed<br />
energy can strengthen your back-up power plans and<br />
provide you with energy cost savings. To encourage<br />
distributed energy initiatives, Toronto Hydro-Electric<br />
System has up to $10-million in incentives available for<br />
projects started before 2007<br />

Designed to help reduce the demands on the electricity<br />
system, a switch can be installed on residential and<br />
commercial central air conditioners. During peak times,<br />
Toronto Hydro will send a signal to cycle the system off<br />
and on to reduce the amount of electricity needed by the<br />
province. In addition to energy savings, a $25 sign-up<br />
incentive is being offered.<br />
