4 Status Line<br />
The status line indicates the current operating state of the<br />
controller board (see "System Startup" on page 14).<br />

If the controller board is in the READY or BOOT<br />
state, the RUN element is not switched on. In<br />
the ACTIVE state, it flashes and in the RUN<br />
state, it is permanently on.<br />
Active in the event of controller, user or bus<br />
errors.<br />
(Bus Segment Aborted) Active when a bus<br />
segment is switched off and inactive when all<br />
segments are switched on again.<br />
(Peripheral Fault) Active when a device<br />
indicates a peripheral fault.<br />
5 Arrows Pointing Down<br />
If the higher-level control system is in the STOP state, an<br />
arrow appears in the bottom line of the display pointing to the<br />
description on the front plate. This description is host-specific<br />
and indicates the state of the host system. Examples include:<br />

6 16 Status Segments<br />
16 status segments are located on the left-hand side of the<br />
display for binary representation of input and output words.<br />
They are displayed when selecting a corresponding menu.<br />
