Door knocking of approximately 15 residential properties, where the project team was not able to make contact with property owners, to discuss the potential acquisition of properties WestConnex project website updated with frequently asked questions, M4 East concept design community update, media releases, WestConnex Business Case Executive Summary and the Stage 1 overview video. During this period there have been more than 21,000 unique visitors to the WestConnex website (and more than 29,000 visits). WestConnex project email broadcasts - Announcement of display of M4 East concept design – sent 28 November 2013 - Reminder of February community information sessions and comments close on 17 February – sent 29 January 2014. Distribution of the November M4 East community update to more than 105,000 residences and businesses along the M4 East corridor. An unaddressed letter box drop was carried out to the areas outlined in Table 1. Advertisements placed in local and non-English language newspapers to promote the display of the concept design and the community information sessions: - Inner West Courier (3 December 2013 and 28 January 2014) - Burwood Scene online advertisement (ran from 2 December 2013 until 17 February 2014) - Strathfield Scene online advertisement (ran from 2 December 2013 until 17 February 2014) - La Fiamma (5 December 2013 and 30 January 2014) - Sydney Korean Herald (5 December 2013 and 30 January 2014) - Australian Chinese Times (5 December and 30 January 2014) - MX Newspaper (5 February 2014) Advertisement placed in mX Newspaper The concept design display and consultation sessions were also promoted via an advertisement which ran from December 2013 until mid February 2014, on the Roads and Maritime Services website homepage with a link to the WestConnex website for more information. Translation services have been established for eight languages including Arabic, Greek, Italian, Korean, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Vietnamese and Hindi and have been promoted on a wide range of communication materials including on the WestConnex website, on the M4 East concept design brochure and at the information sessions. In addition, the Stage 1 video for WestConnex has been translated into eight languages. 2.2 Consultation activities and events on the concept design 2.2.1 Project information phone line The project information line 1300 660 248, provided a direct communication channel with the project team for community members and stakeholders to ask questions, arrange individual meetings and discuss individual M4 East Community Feedback Report 11
