(5) The dealer must reshuffle cards that have been preshuffled if a player asks the dealer to reshuffle the cards before the first card is removed from the dealing shoe. 14 Cutting of cards by player and dealer (1) After the cards have been shuffled, the cards must be cut. (2) Two cutting cards must be used. (3) The dealer must offer the stack of cards, with backs facing away from the dealer, to the players to be cut. (4) The player specified in section 15 must cut the cards by placing 1 of the cutting cards in the stack at least 10 cards from either end. (i) if the cut is incorrect the dealer must remove the cutting card and ask the player to re-cut the cards. (5) However, the player mentioned in subsection (4) may ask another player to cut the cards. (6) The stack of cards must be cut only once by the player. (7) After the cutting card has been inserted into the stack by the player, the dealer must take the cutting card and all cards in front of the cutting card and place them to the back of the stack. (8) The dealer must insert the other cutting card in a position approximately 1 deck or more in from the back of the stack or at the discretion of a pit boss or assistant pit boss insert the cutting card in a position between approximately 1 deck and approximately two-thirds of the way in from the back of the stack. (9) The stack of cards must then be inserted in the dealing shoe for start of play. 15 Selecting player to cut cards (1) The player to cut the cards must be—

54 Casino Gaming Rule 2010 _________________________________________________________________ (a) the first player to the table immediately before the start of play; or (b) the player on whose box the cutting card appeared during the last round of play; or (c) if the cutting card appeared on the dealer’s hand during the last round of play—the player at the farthest point to the right of the dealer; or (d) if the reshuffle of the cards was under section 13(4)(c)—the player at the farthest point to the right of the dealer. (2) If the player specified in subsection (1) refuses to cut, the cards must be offered to each other player moving clockwise around the table until a player accepts the cut. (3) A player specified in subsection (1) or a player who accepts the cut under subsection (2) may ask another player to cut the cards. (4) If no player accepts the cut, the dealer must cut the cards. 16 Replacing the cards A casino employee responsible for supervising table games may, after a round of play, direct that the cards be replaced. 17 Using a dealing shoe (1) All cards used in the game of blackjack must be dealt from a dealing shoe designed for the purpose and located on the table to the left of the dealer. (2) The dealer must remove cards from the shoe with the left hand, and then with the right hand place them, face up, on the appropriate area of the layout. 18 Dealing the cards (1) At the start of each round of play, the dealer must, starting on the dealer’s left and continuing around the table, deal the cards in the following order—

(5) The dealer must reshuffle cards that have been preshuffled<br />

if a player asks the dealer to reshuffle the cards before the<br />

first card is removed from the dealing shoe.<br />

14 Cutting <strong>of</strong> cards by player <strong>and</strong> dealer<br />

(1) After the cards have been shuffled, the cards must be cut.<br />

(2) Two cutting cards must be used.<br />

(3) The dealer must <strong>of</strong>fer the stack <strong>of</strong> cards, with backs facing<br />

away from the dealer, to the players to be cut.<br />

(4) The player specified in section 15 must cut the cards by<br />

placing 1 <strong>of</strong> the cutting cards in the stack at least 10 cards<br />

from either end.<br />

(i) if the cut is incorrect the dealer must remove the<br />

cutting card <strong>and</strong> ask the player to re-cut the cards.<br />

(5) However, the player mentioned in subsection (4) may ask<br />

another player to cut the cards.<br />

(6) The stack <strong>of</strong> cards must be cut only once by the player.<br />

(7) After the cutting card has been inserted into the stack by the<br />

player, the dealer must take the cutting card <strong>and</strong> all cards in<br />

front <strong>of</strong> the cutting card <strong>and</strong> place them to the back <strong>of</strong> the<br />

stack.<br />

(8) The dealer must insert the other cutting card in a position<br />

approximately 1 deck or more in from the back <strong>of</strong> the stack<br />

or at the discretion <strong>of</strong> a pit boss or assistant pit boss insert<br />

the cutting card in a position between approximately 1 deck<br />

<strong>and</strong> approximately two-thirds <strong>of</strong> the way in from the back<br />

<strong>of</strong> the stack.<br />

(9) The stack <strong>of</strong> cards must then be inserted in the dealing shoe<br />

for start <strong>of</strong> play.<br />

15 Selecting player to cut cards<br />

(1) The player to cut the cards must be—
