34 Not enough cards in shoe to complete round <strong>of</strong> play<br />

If there are not enough cards remaining in the shoe to<br />

complete a round <strong>of</strong> play, the dealer must shuffle <strong>and</strong> cut the<br />

cards in the discard rack <strong>and</strong> complete the round <strong>of</strong> play.<br />

35 Incorrect placement <strong>of</strong> card<br />

(1) If, during the original dealing <strong>of</strong> cards in a round <strong>of</strong> play,<br />

any <strong>of</strong> the cards are incorrectly placed, <strong>and</strong> the incorrect<br />

placement is noticed before the dealer acts on any h<strong>and</strong>, the<br />

cards must be placed in the order they would have been in<br />

if the incorrect placement had not happened.<br />

(2) For subsection (1), a dealer is taken to have acted on a h<strong>and</strong><br />

if—<br />

(a)<br />

the dealer has received a h<strong>and</strong> signal from the player<br />

for the first box in play at the table; or<br />

(b) the player for the first box in play at the table has<br />

decided to double down on one h<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> a third card<br />

has been delivered to the h<strong>and</strong>; or<br />

(c)<br />

the player for the first box in play at the table has<br />

decided to split the h<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> a second card has been<br />

delivered to the first <strong>of</strong> the h<strong>and</strong>s formed; or<br />

(d) the player for the first box in play at the table has<br />

indicated that they wish to switch their cards; or<br />

(e)<br />

a player’s wager has been settled.<br />

36 Dealer with too many cards<br />

(1) If, contrary to section 18(1)(b), the dealer has inadvertently<br />

dealt 2 or more cards to the dealer’s h<strong>and</strong>, <strong>and</strong> the dealer<br />

has started acting on a player’s h<strong>and</strong>, the dealer must—<br />

(a)<br />

inform the players that the cards held by the dealer<br />

are taken to have the point total usually counted after<br />

the dealer’s cards have been dealt, but not a<br />

blackjack; <strong>and</strong><br />

(b) give each player the choice <strong>of</strong> withdrawing their<br />

blackjack switch wagers; <strong>and</strong>
