19 Procedure when cutting card is reached<br />

When the cutting card is reached in a round <strong>of</strong> play, the<br />

dealer must continue dealing the cards until the round <strong>of</strong> play<br />

is completed <strong>and</strong> then reshuffle the cards.<br />

20 Players h<strong>and</strong>ling cards<br />

(1) A player may only h<strong>and</strong>le the initial two cards dealt to the<br />

player’s wager.<br />

(2) Subject to section 23(2), if a player has more than one<br />

wager, the player must only h<strong>and</strong>le one h<strong>and</strong> <strong>of</strong> cards at a<br />

time <strong>and</strong> complete acting on the first wager before acting<br />

on the next wager.<br />

(3) A player must h<strong>and</strong>le their cards with one h<strong>and</strong>.<br />

(4) A player must not h<strong>and</strong>le any cards dealt to the player’s<br />

wager if the player has elected to have their cards dealt face<br />

up.<br />

21 Player responsible for own point total<br />

Each player at the table is responsible for correctly<br />

calculating the point total <strong>of</strong> the player’s h<strong>and</strong>.<br />

22 Play if player has blackjack<br />

(1) If the first card dealt to the dealer is 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9<br />

<strong>and</strong> a player has a blackjack, the dealer must announce <strong>and</strong><br />

pay the blackjack at odds <strong>of</strong> 3 to 2 <strong>and</strong> must remove the<br />

player’s cards.<br />

(2) If the first face up card dealt to the dealer is an ace, king,<br />

queen, jack or 10 <strong>and</strong> a player has a blackjack, the dealer<br />

must announce the blackjack but may make no payment nor<br />

remove any cards until all other cards are dealt to the<br />

players <strong>and</strong> the dealer receives a second card.<br />

(3) If the dealer’s second card does not give the dealer<br />

blackjack, the dealer must complete their h<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> any<br />

player with blackjack must be paid at the odds <strong>of</strong> 3 to 2.<br />

(4) Despite any other provision <strong>of</strong> this rule, when a player has<br />

blackjack <strong>and</strong> the dealer’s first card is an ace, the dealer
