(2) A tie bet must not be more than one-eighth <strong>of</strong> the maximum<br />

wager permitted for the table.<br />

12 Free h<strong>and</strong><br />

(1) A casino operator may direct the banker to deal a round <strong>of</strong><br />

play, for which the players must not make a wager (a free<br />

h<strong>and</strong>), if—<br />

(a) a player at the table asks for a free h<strong>and</strong>; <strong>and</strong><br />

(b) all <strong>of</strong> the other players agree to play a free h<strong>and</strong>.<br />

(2) A free h<strong>and</strong> must be played under sections 20 to 26, 27(1)<br />

<strong>and</strong> (2), <strong>and</strong> 29.<br />

(3) No more than 3 free h<strong>and</strong>s may be played consecutively.<br />

13 Payout odds <strong>and</strong> commission<br />

(1) A winning wager made on either the player’s h<strong>and</strong> or the<br />

banker’s h<strong>and</strong> is paid at odds <strong>of</strong> 1 to 1.<br />

(2) However, for a winning wager made on the banker’s h<strong>and</strong>,<br />

a 5% charge (a commission) is payable to the casino<br />

operator on the amount won.<br />

(3) The commission may be rounded up to 50c or the next<br />

highest multiple <strong>of</strong> 50c if the commission is not exactly 50c<br />

or a multiple <strong>of</strong> 50c.<br />

(4) The commission is collected from a player when the<br />

winning payout is made.<br />

(5) Collection from seated players may be deferred but all<br />

outst<strong>and</strong>ing commission must be collected before<br />

reshuffling the cards in the shoe.<br />

(6) For any commission not collected when the winning payout<br />

is made, the dealer must place a marker button showing the<br />

amount <strong>of</strong> commission owed in a rectangular space<br />

imprinted with the number <strong>of</strong> the player owing the<br />

commission, on the part <strong>of</strong> the layout in front <strong>of</strong> the dealer.<br />

(7) A winning tie bet is paid at odds <strong>of</strong> 8 to 1.
