8 Permissible wagers <strong>and</strong> results<br />

The following wagers are the permissible wagers by a<br />

player at a game <strong>of</strong> baccarat—<br />

(a)<br />

(b)<br />

(c)<br />

a wager on the banker’s h<strong>and</strong>—<br />

(i)<br />

wins if the banker’s h<strong>and</strong> has a point count<br />

higher than the player’s h<strong>and</strong>; <strong>and</strong><br />

(ii) loses if the banker’s h<strong>and</strong> has a point count<br />

lower than the player’s h<strong>and</strong>; <strong>and</strong><br />

(iii) is void if the point counts <strong>of</strong> the banker’s h<strong>and</strong><br />

<strong>and</strong> the player’s h<strong>and</strong> are equal;<br />

a wager on the player’s h<strong>and</strong>—<br />

(i)<br />

wins if the player’s h<strong>and</strong> has a point count<br />

higher than the banker’s h<strong>and</strong>; <strong>and</strong><br />

(ii) loses if the player’s h<strong>and</strong> has a point count<br />

lower than the banker’s h<strong>and</strong>; <strong>and</strong><br />

(iii) is void if the point counts <strong>of</strong> the banker’s h<strong>and</strong><br />

<strong>and</strong> the player’s h<strong>and</strong> are equal;<br />

a tie bet wins if the point counts <strong>of</strong> the banker’s h<strong>and</strong><br />

<strong>and</strong> the player’s h<strong>and</strong> are equal <strong>and</strong> loses if the point<br />

counts are not equal.<br />

9 How wagers may be made<br />

(1) A wager at baccarat is made by placing gaming chips on<br />

the appropriate wager area <strong>of</strong> the baccarat layout.<br />

(2) A wager can not be made orally.<br />

10 When wagers can not be placed, changed or withdrawn<br />

A wager can not be placed, changed or withdrawn after the<br />

first card <strong>of</strong> a round has been removed from the shoe.<br />

11 Minimum <strong>and</strong> maximum wagers<br />

(1) If the minimum wager permitted for a table is not more than<br />

$10, the maximum wager permitted for the table must be at<br />

least $500.
