(3) If a player asks to inspect the cards when the cards are first<br />

placed on the table for play, the dealer must spread the<br />

cards face up on the table to enable a person inspecting<br />

them to see if the cards form a complete deck.<br />

(4) The cards must be shuffled—<br />

(a)<br />

(b)<br />

(c)<br />

immediately prior to the start <strong>of</strong> a round <strong>of</strong> play; <strong>and</strong><br />

at the end <strong>of</strong> each round <strong>of</strong> play; <strong>and</strong><br />

immediately prior to the recommencement <strong>of</strong> play<br />

following any period that the table has been vacant.<br />

(5) If a mechanical shuffling device is in use at a table—<br />

(a)<br />

(b)<br />

the device may be loaded with 1 deck <strong>of</strong> cards while<br />

another deck is used in play; <strong>and</strong><br />

the backs <strong>of</strong> the deck <strong>of</strong> cards being used in play must<br />

be <strong>of</strong> a different colour to the backs <strong>of</strong> the deck <strong>of</strong><br />

cards in the device.<br />

(6) If the cards have been shuffled manually by the dealer, the<br />

dealer must cut the cards <strong>and</strong> place them with the cutting<br />

card into a dealing shoe.<br />

15 Notice <strong>of</strong> change to game<br />

(1) The minimum <strong>and</strong> maximum buy-in, betting limits,<br />

structure <strong>and</strong> the method <strong>and</strong> amount <strong>of</strong> commission to be<br />

charged may be changed at the discretion <strong>of</strong> the pit<br />

manager provided—<br />

(a) prior notice <strong>of</strong> at least three h<strong>and</strong>s has been given to<br />

the players; <strong>and</strong><br />

(b)<br />

(c)<br />

the signage is changed to reflect the change <strong>of</strong> game;<br />

<strong>and</strong><br />

the minimum wager may only be changed to a higher<br />

minimum, if a sign indicating the new minimum<br />

wager <strong>and</strong> proposed time <strong>of</strong> change has been<br />

displayed at the table at least 20 minutes before the<br />

change.<br />

(2) Changes made pursuant to subsection (1) shall only be<br />

made at the completion <strong>of</strong> a round <strong>of</strong> play.
