37 Winning <strong>and</strong> losing perfect pairs wagers <strong>and</strong> payouts<br />

(1) A perfect pairs wager wins if the first 2 cards dealt to the<br />

h<strong>and</strong> on which the wager was placed are a pair.<br />

(2) Winning perfect pairs wagers must be paid as follows—<br />

(a) if the chief executive has approved the application <strong>of</strong><br />

the No. 1 schedule <strong>of</strong> prizes for perfect pairs wagers<br />

as part <strong>of</strong> the game <strong>of</strong> spanish blackjack at the<br />

casino—<br />

(i) for a mixed pair—5 to 1; <strong>and</strong><br />

(ii) for a coloured pair—10 to 1; <strong>and</strong><br />

(iii) for a perfect pair—25 to 1;<br />

(b) if the chief executive has approved the application <strong>of</strong><br />

the No. 2 schedule <strong>of</strong> prizes for perfect pairs wagers<br />

as part <strong>of</strong> the game <strong>of</strong> spanish blackjack at the<br />

casino—<br />

(i) for a mixed pair—6 to 1; <strong>and</strong><br />

(ii) for a coloured pair—12 to 1; <strong>and</strong><br />

(iii) for a perfect pair—20 to 1.<br />

(3) A perfect pairs wager loses if the first 2 cards dealt to the<br />

h<strong>and</strong> on which the wager was placed do not comprise a<br />

pair.<br />

38 Schedule <strong>of</strong> prizes<br />

For each casino for which approval has been given for<br />

gaming equipment that provides for perfect pairs wagers as<br />

part <strong>of</strong> the game <strong>of</strong> spanish blackjack, the chief executive<br />

must approve the application <strong>of</strong> the No. 1 schedule <strong>of</strong> prizes<br />

or No. 2 schedule <strong>of</strong> prizes for perfect pairs wagers as part <strong>of</strong><br />

the game at the casino.<br />

12 Under section 64(1)(d) <strong>of</strong> the Act, a casino operator must display at each gaming table<br />

or location for the playing <strong>of</strong> a game a sign showing the permissible minimum <strong>and</strong><br />

maximum wagers for the game played at the table or location.
